The expansion of the passenger terminal on Ramstein Air Base is presently underway.
A bus station
and parking areas are presently added, in addition to a generous pedestrian area.
L.A.U.B. was commissioned with design and bidding of the plaza area and green areas.
The funnel shape
of the plaza allows optimal pedestrian connections between the terminal, the new shopping mall with
hotel, the terminal parking deck and the bus station. Directionally arranged elevated plant beds and
light fixture columns serve as orientation for the flow of pedestrians. Resting places have also
been arranged.
Apart from the attractive design of extensive green areas in front of the terminal, green planning
also comprises landscaping of the parking deck.
